This family's wacky Christmas video has inspired me to do the same. We're going to keep it simple though and do a narrated slideshow. A good holiday card has three components: - Express your feelings about the viewers: do you miss them? Excited to see them over the holidays? Thankful for their love and support all year?
- Updates about what you've done this year or upcoming events
- "Season's Greetings," "Merry Christmas," "Happy Holidays" or something similar
How to make your video- Write a script.
- Find or take pictures/videos quickly
- Edit in iMovie: KEEP TO UNDER 1 MINUTE!
- Add some music and sound effects
- Export to Camera Roll as lowest quality so you can email it.
Sample ScriptDearest friends,
Greetings to you on this cold winter's day in California. Unfortunately, I won't be traveling home for the holidays this year. I want you to know I miss you terribly, and hope we can chat sometime soon. It's been a pretty big year for me. Here are the highlights: I became an uncle! I bought a house! I started playing ukulele! I'm still teaching at CTK, and that's a good thing! I wish you all the best,
Happy Holidays,
Michael |
