Today we're going to create a survey to collect data from our classmates on the things they like. Follow the instructions below:

Create your Survey

  1. Log in to Google Drive
  2. Create a new form
  3. Name it My First Form
  4. Uncheck "Require CTK login to submit this form"
  5. Add "demographic" questions. Questions about the survey taker, like age, gender, and where they live.
  6. Add a multiple choice question about their favorite thing. You could ask about favorite pies, animals, sports, or anything! Give at least 4 options.
  7. Add a scale question: "How do you feel about ________ on a scale of 1 to 5?" The scale can go from dislike to love.
  8. Make sure "Allow respondents to submit another response" is checked.

Collecting Data

  1. Click "View live form." Your survey will open up.
  2. Everyone in the class will rotate around the room, taking each other's surveys. When you're finished, click "Submit another response" to get it ready for the next person.

Analyzing Data

  1. Complete the worksheet below to describe your data and draw conclusions about the results.
