Today we're going to learn about searching the internet for information. The hardest part of searching the internet is that there is TOO MUCH INFORMATION!LessonPart 1: Lead class in a Google Search for information about habitats. Discuss the results and how the page is formatted. Part 2: Refine your search based on results
- Searching "habitat" will give many Habitat For Humanity links. How can we change that improve our results?
- Some results will be written for adults. How can we get results that kids can understand?
ActivityPick a habitat and search for it. Remember to: - read your results and refine your search
- add the words "kids" or "simple" to get results written for students
- avoid Ad results
