For today's project, you need to get signed into the Third Grade Google Classroom. Start by clicking here:

You will need to log in with your Google email and password that is on your card.

We will be using Google Drawing today to learn more about the different kinds of animals. First you need to choose one of the animal types:
  • amphibian
  • reptile
  • mammal
  • bird
  • fish
  • insect
In Google Drawing, you will choose one photo (NOT a cartoon) of an animal that fits your category.
Drag that photo into your page.
Now, type up all the characteristics you know about this animal. Remember to use complete sentences...you need at least three!

If you need more information than you found in your book, try one of these websites:

posted Apr 13, 2016, 8:43 AM by kmcmillan@ctkschool.org   [ updated Sep 11, 2016, 3:54 PM ]

Today we are going to practice searching the internet for information. The hardest part of searching the internet is that there is SOOOOOO MUCH INFORMATION! We need to learn to narrow - or "refine" - our search to find just what we want.

Activity

Start here: The Google

Pick a habitat and search for it. Remember to:
  • read your results and refine your search
  • add the words "kids" or "simple" to get results written for students
  • avoid Ad results
